- Supporting US GAAP and IFRS interpretation, documenting issues clearly and comprehensively.
- Ensuring integrity and validity of financial statement information for local and group reporting.
- Reconciling financial information between various systems, assuring data accuracy.
- Reviewing processes to identify opportunities for simplification and automation.
- Assisting in preparation of supporting documentation and analysis for local financial statements and group reporting.
- Collaborating with auditors to ensure timely and accurate information sharing and audit completion.
- Supporting quantitative analysis of operational and financial data for all company areas.
- Managing month-end closing activities and ensuring accuracy of financial information in Hyperion data systems.
- Providing support to ad-hoc projects and performing COPA cycles as required.
- Leading and providing audit backup for all external audits, including government audits.
- Ensuring deployment of internal audit rules and compliance with legal constraints to safeguard company assets.
- Assisting in the deployment of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives and maintaining corporate governance documentation.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Have demonstrated knowledge of financial and management accounting, with a strong commercial background.
- Bring expertise in local, federal, and provincial regulatory agencies.
- Have proven experience with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Are skilled in enforcing financial control systems, policies, and procedures.
- Possess strong data gathering, analytical, and report preparation skills.
- Have hands-on experience with ERP systems and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Are adept at supporting both external audits and internal governance requirements.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can commit to an onsite role for a 6-month contract covering maternity leave.
