Job Opportunity: Senior Project Manager

Why Join Us?
Ready to lead complex, high-impact projects that shape the future of one of the world's top agricultural companies? At Nutrien, you'll join a collaborative, purpose-driven team that values safety, innovation, and integrity. As a Senior Project Manager in the Financial Project Management Office (Finance PMO), you'll play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives across the business—while working 100% remotely. This is more than just a role—it's your chance to lead transformational change at scale in a company that's helping feed the future.

What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll lead enterprise-level projects that integrate both business process enhancements and technology solutions. You'll partner across teams and functions to ensure successful project delivery aligned with measurable business outcomes. Beyond traditional project timelines and budgets, you'll be accountable for driving real value and helping the business achieve its strategic objectives.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading the definition of project scope, deliverables, benefits, and timelines in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Choosing and applying the appropriate implementation methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) based on the project's needs
  • Managing project budgets and resource allocations throughout the lifecycle
  • Building and executing comprehensive project plans that align with PMO standards
  • Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to drive engagement and organizational alignment
  • Resolving project conflicts and risks through proactive communication and problem-solving
  • Monitoring and reporting on scope, budget, and schedule performance
  • Presenting project updates to steering committees and senior leadership
  • Conducting post-project reviews and developing insights and recommendations
  • Driving measurable business value through rigorous benefits tracking and delivery

Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced project leader with a strong track record of delivering results in complex, cross-functional environments. You bring a strategic mindset, a proactive attitude, and a passion for problem-solving. You thrive when working collaboratively, influencing without formal authority, and driving progress even in the face of ambiguity.

Must-Have Skills:
  • 10+ years of project management experience with increasing responsibility
  • Experience delivering business transformation initiatives, especially those involving automation
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Proficiency in managing large-scale ERP-related projects (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft)
  • Proven expertise in project management methodologies
  • PMP or other industry-recognized Project Management certification
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and team collaboration skills
  • Adaptability in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
  • Experience with Operating Model design & deployment (asset)
