Position: Sensor Assembly Operator
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm CST Position Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of high-speed, large-scale automated assembly equipment. This role involves performing complex machine repairs, conducting quality checks, and ensuring routine maintenance is completed according to standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate high-speed automated assembly machines.
- Perform complex repairs, machine set-ups, and changeovers to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections and document measurements per the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) at defined intervals.
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and routine maintenance tasks.
- Adjust machine tooling, including sharpening, conditioning, and inspecting key components.
- Replace sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, and other parts as required.
- Adjust housing feed and related machine elements per production standards.
- Use measurement tools such as height indicators, ram optics, gauges, and perform microscopic inspections.
- Identify and reset machine faults, clear jams, restart production lines, and package finished products.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn on the job.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and company policies.
- Little or no prior relevant training or experience required; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Follows established procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Shows initiative in troubleshooting and solving routine equipment issues.
