Position: Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Shift: 1st Shift, 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: Depending on experience

Job Description:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely flow of goods and materials from Receiving into Inventory, and from our Manufacturing to our customers. This involves physically handling materials by unpacking, moving, and packing, as well as maintaining accurate records.

Job Duties:

  • Receive and unpack shipments, check for accuracy, and correctly record the shipment.
  • Report any issues with received goods to Inventory Control and the Buyer.
  • Manage paper and online shipping and receiving records from both domestic and international suppliers and customers.
  • Coordinate pickups, track shipments, and resolve issues by liaising with suppliers and shipping companies.
  • Use a forklift to load and unload trucks, and safely move materials within the facility.
  • Store materials on stockroom shelves and bins, keeping the area clean and organized.
  • Perform stockroom tasks including picking orders efficiently and conducting cycle counts.

Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment, preferably in Shipping & Receiving.
  • Strongly desired proficiency with online systems of FedEx, UPS, and other carriers.
  • Capable of lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds daily.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Basic arithmetic skills necessary.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures accurately and consistently.
  • Keen attention to detail for checking part numbers, comparing purchase orders to packing slips, and ensuring correct addresses and dates.
  • Capability to maintain organized paper files for quick location by others.
  • Effective multitasking skills under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-service centered approach with strong motivation and engagement.
  • Proven track record of reliable, on-time attendance.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
