Shipping/Receiving Clerk
$22-24/HR - DOE
7AM-3:30PM
Monday-Friday (40 hours a week)
Job Purpose
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at our warehouse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and distribution of supplies and equipment. You will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and upholding high standards of safety and organization within the warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packaging, labeling, and loading items for transport.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic inventory management systems matched with hands on physical counts.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Assist in organizing and optimizing warehouse storage space for efficient inventory management.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts and audits to monitor stock levels and track inventory movements.
- Collaborate with team members to meet shipping deadlines and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
Skills:
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, inventory management, and handling medical equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and tracking inventory data.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using FedEx Ship Manager or fedEx.com is a plus.
- Experience with an ERP system is a plus.
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
