Entry Level Position

Position: Shipping/Receiving Assistant
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9:00AM - 5:30PM
Pay Rate: $17.00/HR

Employment Type: Temporary - Approx 12 weeks with potential for extension or full-time hire
  About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to assist with sample collection and shipping activities across our facility. This is a temporary rolewith the potential for extension or full-time hire depending on business needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect product samples from various departments throughout the facility
• Handle a range of items, from small lab samples to larger components and equipment
• Follow proper safety precautions when handling materials, especially sharp objects and chemicals
• Wear appropriate PPE (e.g., lab coats when entering specific areas – no special attire required)
• Deliver all collected samples to the shipping department
• Assist with packaging and preparing items for outbound shipment
• Ensure accurate documentation of all samples and shipments
• Support general warehouse and shipping/receiving tasks during slower periods

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently throughout the day (buddy system available for heavier items)
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
• Good communication skills and willingness to ask for guidance when unsure
• Basic understanding of warehouse flow and operations
• Comfortable working independently and on your feet throughout the shift
• Must wear standard warehouse attire: long pants, closed-toe comfortable shoes (no steel toes required); no shorts or tank tops

Nice to Have (Not Required):

• Experience with FedEx Ship Manager or UPS WorldShip
• Prior exposure to warehouse or shipping/receiving environments
• Forklift or pallet jack experience (a plus for future opportunities)
