Stand-Up Forklift Warehouse Associate (Chill Building – 2nd Shift)

$19//hr | Chicago, IL 60617 (Near 118th St / Far Southeast Side)
Job Type: Full-time (Kelly Services – onsite at a modern, temperature-controlled, food-grade 3PL warehouse)
Shift: Mon - Fri | 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Start: Phone & In Person Interview (screenings are completed)

This is a fast, high-volume chill warehouse (fresh food & beverage—not frozen). We're looking for sharp, reliable operators who can run a stand-up/reach (Crown-style) safely, stay accurate with scanning/labels, and show up on time every shift. If you live near the South Suburbs or Chicago's Southeast Side, even better—but all qualified candidates within a reasonable commute should apply.

Job Details Pay: $19/hr
Location: Chicago, IL 60617 (near 118th St)
Environment: Building A – Chill Building (fresh product; temperature controlled)
Shift: 2nd Shift | Mon - Fri | 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
PPE: Steel-toed or safety-toed shoes may be required on certain days based on work area/tasks


What You'll Do
Operate a stand-up/reach forklift to move product safely throughout the chill building

Load/unload and move pallets to/from docks, platforms, skids, staging, and racking

Organize and secure boxes, pallets, and containers in designated areas

Use RF scanners to pick, scan, verify quantities, and track inventory movement Weigh product and record information on labels/tags and in handheld devices

Apply shipping-compliant labels, wrap pallets, and help maintain a clean, organized warehouse

Read pick tickets, build pallets for staging, and confirm product type/counts as you work

Follow basic food-safety and cleanliness expectations throughout the shift


What I'm Looking For (Apply Only If You Meet These)
2+ years (NO GAPS) of recent stand-up/reach forklift experience (required)

Comfortable working in a chilled, food-grade environment for the full shift

Able to stand/walk/stack and lift as needed while staying focused and upbeat

Strong attention to detail for counts, labels, and scanning accuracy

Reliable attendance—this is not a fit for frequent tardiness or last-minute call-offs Team-first attitude and steady work pace in a high-volume warehouse

What to Expect in This Role Tight aisles, busy docks, and constant movement—safety and awareness matter

Scanning and labeling accuracy is a big part of performance

You'll stay active all shift in a chilled environment (fresh product, not frozen)


Pre-Employment Requirements (Required)
Offer is contingent upon completion of: 7-year county-level criminal background check (including counties of recent residence as applicable)
Social Security trace
NCRL 7-year screening
10-panel swab drug screen (NO THC)
Timing: Screenings typically take 3–7 days to complete.
