Kelly Engineering is currently seeking a Systems Verification Engineer for a long-term contract at one of our Global Medical Device Robotics clients in Santa Clara, CA. A global leader in surgery with products and solutions found in almost every operating room around the world.

As the Systems Verification SW Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and performing software testing for our groundbreaking robotic surgical platform. In this role, you will execute test cases, manual testing, and protocols toverify software functionality, using numerous testing methods including functional, integration, and system testing. We are looking for someone self-motivated, diligent, detail-oriented, and can work independently and function well within a team.

This role is a full-time, fully benefited position.  As a Kelly employee in this group you will be eligible for 50% paid Medical & Dental, 401K, and a variety of other benefits to choose from.  You will also be eligible for paid time off, including holiday, vacation, and sick/personal time.  All KellyOCG employees receive annual performance reviews.

Professional Experience/Skills/Background to be successful in this role:

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 6 years of SW development and testing with C++, Linux
  • 6 years Systems Verification and Validation
  • 5 years working in all aspects of SW development from concept and requirements through development, testing, traceability, release and maintenance
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies
  • SW product owner or technical project manager experience 
  • Written verification plans/protocols and executed formal testing in a regulated industry, medical device/surgical robotics 
  • Ability to install software on a robotic platform and perform testing on release candidate builds 
  • Conduct feature ad-hoc and exploratory testing along with bug verification
  • Participated in technical design reviews of requirements, specifications, and test protocols
  • Well conversant in scripting using Python, Linux commands, and Embedded software
  • Jira and SW branching
  •  Good in communication, verbal & written, analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Scripting using Python and Linux commands
  • Experience with Jira and SW branching
