We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Director to lead the technical operations of a laboratory and oversee product development in the polyurea/polyurethane sectors. This hands-on leadership role will focus on advancing product formulation and innovation while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
As a key technical leader, you will:

Key Responsibilities:-
Lead the technical direction of the lab and product development for polyurea/polyurethane systems.

Manage and mentor a team of 3 lab technicians, providing leadership and guidance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, product development) to optimize processes and scale new products.

Oversee product formulations, ensuring customer needs and industry regulations are met.

Spearhead research into new technologies and materials to stay ahead of industry trends.

Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures to meet internal and external regulatory standards.

Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to ISO, OSHA, and other safety standards.

Collaborate with the sales team and clients to understand market needs and support technical sales efforts.

Lead troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives to enhance product performance.

Support regulatory submissions, technical documentation, and patent development as needed.
Education:
-
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in polyurea/polyurethane systems.
Experience:
-
6-10 years of experience in the polyurea/polyurethane industry, with a focus on formulation and development.

Strong background in spray polyurea/polyurethane applications and product development.

Proven experience in leading technical teams, laboratories, or product development projects.

Demonstrated ability to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure product quality.

Familiarity with ISO, 5S standards, and OSHA regulations.
Skills:

Expertise in polyurea/polyurethane formulations, resin systems, and additives.

Strong technical and analytical skills in chemical processes, product development, and quality control.

Proficiency in lab management, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $200,000, based on experience and qualifications.
