Position Overview:
The RF Accelerator Research Division of a government client is seeking a Technical Writer with experience developing, reviewing, standardizing, and controlling technical materials to help our project management, manufacturing, proposal, and procedure documentation efforts.
Reporting to the Division Director, this position works closely with a broad range of staff to ensure that the essential R D are documented.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Write or edit technical documentations and templates, which may require the creation of sensitive material with significant public relations or policy impact.
  • Confer with technical staff to establish specifications and determine subject material to be developed for publication.
  • Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or subject matter experts.
  • Select and manipulate digital images, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
  • Upload and manage document control using Teamcenter PLM software.
  • Propose alternative solutions to complex documentation problems through communication with users and designers.
Additional duties:
  • To be successful in this position you will bring:
  • Bachelor s degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and typing skills in addition to relevant technical knowledge.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter PLM and other publishing software a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Ability to distill technical jargon into clear, concise language understandable to the general population.
