Description

Kelly Services is seeking a qualified Technical Writer to work at at Pratt and Whitney in Midland, GA.  This is a 1-2 year assignment with possibility for permanent hire. We are looking for an Expert-level Microsoft Word user with a Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years creating Standard Operating Procedures in a highly regulated industry.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

  • $25 per hour 
  • Weekly Pay!
 

Shift:

  • 1st shift - Monday thru Friday - 8:00am-4:30pm

Position Summary
  • In this role, you will be responsible for revising, updating, and ensuring operational SOP documents meet current regulations and procedures, working collaboratively with various stakeholders across departments. 

Key responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with authors and department representatives to update and format SOP documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Must have expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word including strong document formatting skills.
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Experience using Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar is strongly preferred.

Requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED (required); Associate's degree or higher (preferred)
  • Expert-level user in Microsoft Word
  • Demonstrated proficiency in formatting documents in alignment with company style standards and templates
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of GMP regulations and document control standards.
  • Experience writing within highly regulated industries, for example Auto, Pharma, Military, or similar
  • Experience using Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar
  • Experience working with aircraft engine manuals
