Test Technician
• Location: Moline, IL
• Type: W2 contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
• Length: until 11/2025 (Contract extension expectation)
• Pay Rate – $32 - $37 hourly
• Work Authorization - Must be able to work in the U.S. with approved authorization status.
A strong candidate will also have:
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
• A.S. in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering is required; three or more years of related experience is preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components
• Possess a thorough understanding of diagnostic equipment and methods e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root cause
• Ability to read intermediate engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams
• Maintain necessary product records and documentation
• Ability to comprehend and use product/process component datasheets
• Ability to assemble and disassemble products
• Ability to maintain lab equipment
• Ability to perform mechanical work
• Ability to train an Electronics Technician I
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Ability to solder
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and electronic components
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• 3D Printing, Electronics, Electrician/Electrical Contracting, High Voltage Electrical Safety, Electric motor repair, On-road/off-road Automotive Repair, Communication/Networking hardware, Computer repair, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, HVAC, Farming
What You'll Do:
• Work with design/test engineers on building test fixtures, debug circuitry, test setup, equipment maintenance and/or perform testing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Set up Dynamometers for electric motor and/or inverter testing.
• Perform inspection and test as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction.
• Rework products per company and industry standards.
• Build test harnesses, loads and circuit boards to support product design as required.
• Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
• Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action.
• Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.
• Design and build engineering test fixtures.
• Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and manager.
