Job Posting: Tier 1 Operator – Baxter Springs, KS
Position Summary:
Join our team as a Tier 1 Operator in Baxter Springs, KS! You'll be responsible for inspecting and packing products manufactured on high-speed paper converting equipment, working in compliance with our safety programs and quality assurance systems to help us achieve our business objectives.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and pack products per customer specifications using safe work practices.
- Notify the Operator if products don't meet quality standards and assist with resolving issues.
- Accurately complete daily paperwork and understand production instructions.
- Set up work areas according to Production Order Packet (POP) and replenish materials as needed.
- Assist Operators with equipment set-up and changeovers.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Participate actively in safety programs.
- Support team members as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
- Stable work history; six months experience in manufacturing or other physically demanding jobs preferred.
- Commitment to a safe, accident-free, and drug-free workplace.
- High standards for quality and excellence.
- Energetic work ethic and positive attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
- Proven record of reliability and dependability.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
Physical Requirements:
This job involves frequent talking, hearing, walking, climbing, squatting, stooping, reaching, and handling materials and equipment. You must be able to repeatedly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
