Turnaround Coordinator
job description:
Plans, schedules, and executes shutdown work to minimize down time control cost and ensure EH&S goals are met
• Establishes a culture that safety is the #1 priority
• Ensures that an EH&S execution plan is in place and behavior observations and assessments are done
• Ensures pre-job safety reviews are conducted for each contractor
• Ensures the turnaround risk assessment tool is completed
• Ensures a budget reservation and turnaround authorization form is completed and routed for approval
• Ensures that a turnaround Plan for Management and Control is developed and communicated.
• Ensures that a turnaround Execution Plan is developed and communicated.
• Maintains the turnaround work inventory list
• Develops identification estimates, definition estimates, and cost control estimates and communicated costs frequently
• Conducts regular steering team meetings during FEL and daily steering team meetings during execution
• Conducts regular leadership meetings during FEL and each shift during execution
• Maintains the flow of all shutdown activities in a manner that provides efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide a role and responsibility description for all people involved in the turnaround
• Resolves problems and issues as quickly as possible
• Escalates issues as appropriate
• Ensure the turnaround objective is clear and understood by all involved
• Ensure communications are maintained between all functions and groups
• Ensure all turnaround costs are properly collected using TACT
• Ensures an integrated turnaround schedule is developed, including operational steps, project work, and maintenance. Ensures the schedule is followed during execution
• Ensures good team integration is established.
• Ensure proper oversight is provided in the field during execution
• Ensure proper alignment of contractors for the work that is being done
• Assumes the responsibility for the execution of the shutdown, including pre-work and post work
• Ensures pre-work and post work is scheduled, tracked and completed in the required time frame
• Ensures work orders are closed within the proper time
• Conducts critique(s) following the turnaround
• Properly closes the turnaround following post work and completes a closure report
• Completes the formal Return to Operations process at the end of execution
• Participates in labor and services supplier selection and makes final decision.
• Ensure the GTM and GPM processes are maximized

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational & communication skills
Ability to investigate and communicate variances and discrepancies with internal and external parties
