What's a typical day as an Upholstery Tech II You'll be:
  • Fabricating, covering, and installing flat panels, curtains, and simple covers using engineering drawings and aircraft specifications

  • Working with fabric, vinyl, leather hides, composites, adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools, and power tools

  • Cutting and surging carpets, covering bulkheads, and installing panels, cabin headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, and windows

  • Using material tracking systems to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work

  • Supporting process improvements that enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve efficiency

  • Complying with safety, housekeeping, and 5S practices to maintain a safe work environment

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • At least 2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, or hand tools in upholstery or carpet trades

  • Aerospace industry experience (preferred)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English

  • Strong math and measurement skills

  • Basic computer literacy

  • A commitment to safety and quality with strong attention to detail

  • Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift

Additional Details:
  • Location: Savannah GA 31408

  • Employment Type: 12 months contract

  • Schedule: First shift

  • Pay Rate: $25.66/hr

  • Must be 18+ years old and able to pass standard screenings
