Location: Paramus, NJ 07652 (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Temp to Perm (6 months)
Start Date: Immediately
Review and submit medical and vision claims using the practice EHR system and clearing house.
Monitor rejected claims, make corrections, and resubmit to insurance carriers.
Download and post Explanation of Payments (EOPs), including payments and denials, into the EHR system.
Analyze denied claims to determine correction and resubmission eligibility.
Review aging reports, research open balances, and follow up within insurance filing limits.
Communicate with insurance carriers via portals and phone to resolve claim issues and verify status.
Coordinate with the clearing house to distribute patient statements and post patient payments.
Process overpayment refunds to patients and repayments to insurance carriers when required.
Serve as the main point of contact for medical and vision claims for assigned practices.
Support leadership in maximizing claim collection rates and maintaining compliance standards.
Complete required OIG/GSA/OFAC screening prior to placement.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:High school diploma required.
3+ years of experience in medical billing and coding.
Experience working with EHR systems, clearing houses, and insurance carrier portals.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
Experience working with multiple doctor practices and insurance carriers preferred.
Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
