Customer Service Manager needed in Elk Grove Village, Illinois 1st shift
100% In-Office
$60K - $75K, based on experience
  1. Good Customer Service & Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and warehouse operations, ensuring consistent and professional service.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently while maintaining service excellence.
  • Monitor order fulfillment accuracy and ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Work closely with sales, logistics, and distribution teams to streamline order processing and delivery schedules.
  • Implement and maintain customer service best practices to ensure a consistent level of satisfaction.
2. Profit/Loss Management & Cost Efficiency
  • Monitor and manage warehouse operational costs, ensuring a balance between efficiency and profitability.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives to control expenses while maintaining service quality and productivity.
  • Regularly analyze profit/loss statements and adjust warehouse operations accordingly to consistently maximize financial performance.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management to prevent losses due to overstocking, misplacement, or damage.
3. Teamwork & Leadership
  • Promote a team-oriented, collaborative work culture that values communication and cooperation.
  • Train, mentor, and develop warehouse staff to ensure consistent performance and adherence to best practices.
  • Encourage open communication and proactive collaboration between departments to enhance overall workflow.
  • Organize regular team meetings to review performance, identify challenges, and implement improvement strategies.
4. Troubleshooting & Solutions Management
  • Identify and resolve warehouse challenges consistently to maintain seamless operations.
  • Develop proactive solutions to prevent recurring inventory, order fulfillment, or logistics issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot real-time operational and customer service concerns.
  • Utilize data analytics and performance tracking to consistently optimize warehouse efficiency.
5. Attention to Detail & Process Optimization
  • Ensure consistent accuracy in inventory control, shipping, and receiving to minimize errors.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance with warehouse policies and safety regulations.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage processes for maximum efficiency and order consistency.
  • Establish quality control measures to minimize picking, packing, and shipping errors.
6. Consistency in Performance & Operational Standards
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure warehouse operations remain consistent and reliable.
  • Monitor and maintain uniform service levels to meet customer and company expectations.
  • Ensure that training, warehouse procedures, and customer interactions are conducted with a high level of consistency.
  • Lead by example by setting a consistent standard for professionalism, work ethic, and service excellence.
