Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for warehouse operations and team development? Join our partner as a Warehouse Supervisor and play a key role in ensuring efficient daily operations and exceptional customer service. This position works closely with the Director of Warehouse Operations and cross-functional teams to coordinate logistics, implement safety best practices, and drive process improvements across our facility.
Location: Romeoville, IL
Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 annually
Shift: 2nd Shift (12:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.)
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor work quality to deliver outstanding customer service consistently
- Assist in staff development for optimum performance
- Manage hiring, orientation, evaluation, and development of warehouse staff
- Provide coaching, positive reinforcement, and corrective actions as necessary
- Develop and evaluate order processing procedures to ensure quality and speed
- Set and monitor daily schedules and priorities, ensuring resource optimization
- Oversee housekeeping, damage minimization, and enforce safety/company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Warehouse Operations
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years warehouse experience; at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Forklift Operator experience required
- Warehousing or 3PL experience
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, squat, kneel, and work in varying warehouse temperatures
- Experience with WMS, YMS, Billing Management, Labor Management software preferred
- Experience in data collection, metrics, and KPIs
- Previous experience with WMS required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage daily operations of inbound/outbound freight
- Supervisory skills to train, coach, and improve team performance
- Able to implement operational policies, programs, and systems
- Flexible availability for overtime, weekends, or schedule changes as needed
