We are currently seeking a Warranty Automotive Technician to join our client's team.
This role will be responsible to support Nissan Canada Warranty Department by providing warranty repair and diagnostic verification, validation and approval to dealerships and support Nissan Canada internal staff. Please note that this is a full time 6-9 months assignment.
This position will be a 6 to 9 months assignment though Kelly Services for Nissan Canada
Schedule: M-F, 37.5hrs work week. 8am-4:30pm or 9am-5:30pm
Rate: $30/hr + 4% vacation pay
Location: Hybrid schedule: in-office (Mississauga) Monday to Wednesday, and work from home Thursday and Friday.
Job functions Include but are not limited to:
- Provide automotive technical diagnostic validation support to dealer technicians to assure proper warranty repairs are applied on Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. Includes verifying dealer diagnostic and troubleshooting information on vehicle repairs and providing claims pre-approvals in accordance with related Service Manual, Technical Bulletin, Warranty Programs and Warranty Administration Manual policies and procedures.
- Provide day-to-day warranty claim support to dealers, internal staff and field staff for claims including but not limited to warranty repair pre-approvals, warranty claims post repair approval and warranty claims processing support.
- Support NCI warranty team members in technical review of warranty repairs/claim approvals.
- Verifies dealer diagnostic and troubleshooting information, while working closely with Nissan Tech Line & Dealer Technical Support Managers.
- Utilize multiple communication channels to support dealers, internal staff and field staff via telephone, electronic communication and through live virtual platforms when required.
- Reply to and accurately log/document communications with dealers in support an efficient repair/claims processing.
- As necessary, performs other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education with minimum of 2 years technical experience as a recognized automotive licensed technician in a dealership environment.
- Thorough knowledge of the maintenance and repair of vehicles; well-versed in use of technical service manuals and tools. Good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Working knowledge of warranty claim processing.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Preference to bilingual English/French (Verbal & Written)
- Typing speed of 30wpm or better.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks on a priority basis are required.
- Self-motivated team player with good communication skills (verbal and written).
