Welder – 3rd Shift | $21.50/hr | Weekly Pay | Temp-to-Hire
York, SC
Kelly® is hiring experienced Welders to support a high-volume automotive component manufacturer in York, SC. This role is ideal for welders who are confident in hot MIG welding, can maintain precision under production pressure, and want a clear path to direct hire.
Pay, Schedule & Perks

  • $21.50/hour (includes shift differential)
  • Weekly pay
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday | 11:00 PM – 7:20 AM
  • Overtime required as scheduled
    • Time-and-a-half after 40 hours
    • Double-time on Sundays when working 7 consecutive days
  • May be asked to train on day shift as needed
  • Temp-to-hire opportunity after 90 days, including pay increase and full benefits upon conversion

What You'll Do
  • Perform MIG welding on axle and automotive components in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
  • Weld through coated materials (including paint and grease), requiring strong heat control and consistent technique
  • Follow work instructions, weld specifications, and daily production schedules
  • Inspect welds for quality and accuracy and record production data
  • Identify and document non-conforming materials
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and comply with all safety requirements
What We're Looking For
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 6 months of MIG welding experience in a production environment
  • Ability to maintain precision and weld accuracy at production speed
  • Comfortable working with higher heat settings and maintaining weld consistency
  • Proficient reading blueprints, work instructions, and using metric tape measures
  • Basic math skills and understanding of operator process controls
  • Experience with air tools, overhead hoists, or lift trucks preferred
  • Physically able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to keep pace with production demands
