Pay Range for this position is: $18.14-27.22, depending on experience.

The Receiving Clerk & Stager is responsible for receiving all incoming concentrates, DRPs from other LPC plants, and FedEx, UPS, and LTL flavor type shipments. Also, gathering and staging outgoing DRP shipments to other LPC plants. By receiving, there is checking and confirming proper supplier lot documentation, country of origin and other pertinent information. Tagging, utilizing our inventory control system (QAD / RF scanning), sampling and storing in correct cooler and freezer locations in a timely manner. There can as many as 10 – 12 loads of concentrates per day on a heavy day, plus DRPs and sampling. This individual will need to use a forklift and practice FEFO when storing new incoming inventory. General housekeeping of areas in warehouse, coolers and freezer will be maintained. This role reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor and is based out of our Hendersonville, North Carolina location. 


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receiving raw material ingredients. Verify paper work from supplier's packing list matches drums/bins/pails. Verify purchase order and supplier item matches the item received. Verify supplier is corporate approved. Verify correct storage location for product due to cooler and freezer temperatures when storing. Verify expiration date of incoming product. Verify warehouse trailer inspection form is accurate, signed and temperature information is completed. Calculating brix and unit of measure conversions may be need for some purchase orders. Raising questions ASAP when issues arise with ingredient integrity and paper work. 
  • QAD.net will be used for receiving purchase orders once all verifications and calculations, if needed have been completed. 
  • Correct color labels are used when printing and tagging due to various ingredient “types”. Co-Pack, Sensitive and Organic.  
  • Proper handling and storage when receiving in Sensitive Ingredients to prevent cross contamination. Special storage with locked cage and taping is used for these items. 
  • Proper handling and storage of Organic Ingredients to be in compliance with the National Organic Program (NOP). All organic items must be kept in a designated area. There must be a clear separation between organics and non-organics in storage locations. 
  • Sample concentrate ingredient items within 24 hours upon arrival, unless item is frozen. Some do not require sampling until used in blending. Also, sample corporate requests ASAP once relayed from QC Department at the Hendersonville plant. 
  • Planning ahead to ensure space is allocated and made if needed in storage locations for following day's incoming orders. 
  • Organizing coolers and freezers to support FEFO and daily inventory cycle counting. Ensuring ingredient rotation is occurring, pulling out the oldest ingredient first. 
  • Utilize forklifts or other handling equipment to move material to and from dock or warehouse area to storage locations once received into QAD.
  • Has knowledge of standard practices and procedures 
  • Accountable for food safety, food quality and regulatory requirements for their position 
  • Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues
  • Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position
  • Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of related experience. 
  • Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment. This position takes two individuals working together and ensuring the work is completed day to day.
