- Job Details
- Health system located in Eastern Nebraska is in need of traveling behavioral health nurses to work at their Rehab and Treatment Center.
- 36 hours per week / 12 hour shifts.
- Travel teams welcome.
- Job Requirements
- Need to be flexible to float to multiple facilities if the need arises.
- NE or Compact licensed.
- BLS and CPI required.
- Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients include Adults, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, suicidal ideation, risk for violence, substance abuse, borderline personality disorder, mood disorders, psychosis, etc.
- Common Medications: Abilify, Ativan, Haldol, Thorazine, Zyprexa, Risperdal, Depakote, Minipress, Ambien.
- Want individuals that are interested in Behavioral Health, committed to helping with other, and are able to use critical thinking skills.
- Need to be able to get along easily with others and have a positive attitude.
- Schedule Information
- 0630-1900, 1830-0700.
- Manager does schedule, no block or self-scheduling.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend.
- Floating: Will float between units here.
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week of classroom orientation, then 2-3 shifts on the units.

- Are there nurse aids or mental health specialists on this unit?: Yes- 1 to 2 techs per unit

- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue
- Community organizations are co-located at the Lasting Hope Recovery Center including National Alliance on Mental Illness-Nebraska, The Salvation Army and Lutheran Family Services. Having these agencies on site will provide clients a more seamless transition into the outpatient setting.
- Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
