Job SummaryEvery day a manufacturing order sits idle is a day the mission waits a little longer. As an Associate Planner within Land Electronics, you'll own the flow that keeps production moving forward instead of stalling out, managing outgoing Return-to-Vendor (RTV) materials, processing incoming customer returns, and creating the manufacturing orders (MOs) that follow. This role puts you in daily contact with the manufacturing floor, tracking MO aging so nothing slips past its due date unnoticed and every order lands on time. You'll build the documentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination that give planning, purchasing, and production real visibility into what's moving and what's at risk. It's a role for someone who wants ownership over a defined, high-impact piece of the production process - not just a seat in the workflow.
Essential Functions- Own the outgoing Return-to-Vendor (RTV) process, ensuring materials are processed accurately and on schedule.
- Process incoming customer returns and create the resulting manufacturing orders (MOs), setting production up to respond quickly.
- Drive daily communication with manufacturing to monitor and manage MO aging, keeping every order on track for on-time completion.
- Maintain manufacturing build plans on a daily basis and flag critical parts or issues that put the Master Production Schedule at risk.
- Coordinate engineering changes with purchasing and production, ensuring timely disposition of obsolete material.
- Build purchase requisitions and consolidate demand against the Master Production Schedule to keep material flowing.
- Deliver planning reports and documentation for program office reviews, customer visits, and management.
- Perform cycle counts as needed and maintain accurate inventory and material transaction records.
- Champion the mission, values, and culture of the team in every interaction across manufacturing and planning.
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of MRP systems and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
- Solid experience in production planning and a background in project material management.
- Understanding of core business processes and how planning, purchasing, and production interconnect.
- Experience processing Return-to-Vendor (RTV) or customer return transactions within an ERP/MRP system.
- Prior exposure to Master Production Scheduling and purchase requisition processes.
- Familiarity with engineering change coordination and material disposition.
- Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor alongside production teams.
Only candidates that meet the qualifications set forth above are eligible to be contacted for further information. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.
