Job Summary

Reporting to the Corporate VP of Supply Chain, this role leads indirect procurement across all of DRS, including Corporate HQ. Key spend categories include freight, travel, IT, Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance, and Facilities. You'll drive both strategy (supplier agreements, compliance, process improvement) and hands-on execution (vendor setup, POs, supplier engagement).

Manage ~$80–$100M in spend and ~200 annual POs. Collaborate with VP-level leaders across Business Units and Corporate functions. This is a remote/hybrid role with 10–15% travel.

Job Responsibilities

•    Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management:
Lead indirect procurement and service-related sourcing across DRS; negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with new and existing suppliers. Leverage enterprise-wide spend to drive cost savings and improved service.
•    Procurement Operations & Systems:
Manage POs and requisitions in the MRP system, including vendor setup, compliance checks, and AP/invoice support. Ensure accurate and timely procurement across peak periods.
•    Internal Partner & Stakeholder Support:
Collaborate with executive leaders and cross-functional teams (IT, HR, Legal, Marketing, etc.) to meet procurement needs, manage subscriptions, and drive purchasing strategies.
•    Compliance & Governance:
Support and/or lead Supply Chain compliance initiatives (Small Business, ESG, Cyber, Conflict Minerals), maintain knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and contribute to CPSR readiness and internal audits.
•    Continuous Improvement & Tools:
Enhance procurement tools, processes, and systems; support supply chain policy development and training initiatives across the enterprise.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering with 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries.
•    Strong knowledge of A&D supply chain practices and compliance requirements (FAR/DFARS, CPSR, ITAR, AS9100, DCMA/DCAA).
•    Proven ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment with ~10–15% travel.
•    Skilled in supplier and spend analysis with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
•    Effective communicator with strong leadership, influence, and customer service orientation.
•    Experience conducting basic price/cost analysis and managing compliant, value-driven procurements.
•    Capable of handling workload peaks while maintaining clear communication and follow-through.
