Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Financial Analyst II.  This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in person or hybrid schedule.  This person will be responsible for performing a variety of moderately complex financial tasks in one or more areas of finance in support of business development managers and senior leadership.  Duties may include performing financial analysis and reporting for use in corporate planning, developing and tracking budgets and presentations at departmental and business level reviews.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for various moderately complex financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis
  • Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets, and generate various financial reports as required.
  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation
  • Serve as Budget Manager for Bid & Proposal and CAPEX projects
  • Assist Director, Strategic Planning in managing the bookings forecast
  • Make recommendations to management to improve the financial performance of the organization. Respond to rate and budget questions and provide explanations to ensure management understanding
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as DAR, FAR, and other government regulation
  • Organize and coordinate quarterly New Business Reviews (NBR) 
  • Facilitate and follow through on special projects, as assigned
  • Participate in audits and interface with government auditors to ensure understanding of financial data, methodology and applicability under appropriate government regulations
  • Interface with internal departments and the DCAA in moderately complex auditing assignments
  • Participate in team efforts to improve functioning of the department
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Develop project timelines and department objectives in consultation with senior management 
  • Recommend new methods and processes related to the financial analysis function and presents to senior management 
  • Collect and review financial data from various sources
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
  • 2+ years working in finance or business analyst role.
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience working with MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of DAR/FAR and other applicable government regulations is preferred

The salary range for this position is $66,049.00/year- $85,864.00/year for the state of Illinois.  This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
