Job Summary Job Responsibilities- Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose systemic failures in existing products or systems and makes procedural modifications/suggestions as necessary.
- Compile analysis and test data and evaluate design to aid in developing and recommending changes in design or design approaches
- Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjust equipment to ensure equipment is within specifications
- Develop and implement documentation to maintain product test equipment
- Demonstratable and proficient in Hardware, Optical, Electronic, Electromagnetic, and Integrated Circuit Engineering and theory/concepts.
- Support engineering by performing complex duties and/or hands-on tasks outside of daily production testing
- Design, set up and conduct tests of units and/or components to validate results
- May lead or will be involved with the testing, analysis, modification, development and design/re-design, of various electronics systems.
- May lead technician teams in development or mentor other technicians
- Able to work independently for a weekly basis
- Competent technical expertise
- Must be comfortable with shop/laboratory and equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Signal Analyzers and Network Analyzers
- Assist in the design, build, procurement and/or implementation of new or improved equipment, tools, fixtures and/or material handling equipment
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, or 10 years in a related field
- Proficiency at troubleshooting systems (preferably electro-optical)
- Proficient skills at communicating both upward and downward in an engineering environment
- Experience in troubleshooting Optical Paths and understanding optical theory
- Proficiency in creating Design of Experiments
- Proficiency in data collection (absolute precision required)
- Proficiency in writing Engineering White Papers or Case Studies
- Proficiency in reading and understanding schematics / electrical circuits
- Preferred experience in the aerospace or defense industry
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
