Job SummaryThe Office Nurse Manager-Research assists the Director of Clinical Research with the on-going growth and development of the research culture within the Lexington Health network. The manager will oversee the daily operations of research nurse/coordinators. The manager may also serve in the role of research nurse/coordinator as needed assisting with the organization and collection of data, documentation and record keeping activities pertaining to clinical research studies being conducted within the network. Administrative and operational responsibilities include all aspects of clinical compliance and optimizing the work environment to facilitate open communications and professional excellence.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education: BS in Nursing. Masters in Healthcare or Business related field preferred. Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years of experience as a RN and 2 years in supervisory or lead capacity; 2 years of supervisor or lead capacity may be concurrent with 3 year requirement as a RN. Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): None Required Certifications/Licensure: Current RN License to practice in the State of South Carolina; Research Certification through approved research organization within 3 years of date of hire. Required Training: Experience or familiarity with financial reports, managing revenue, and performance indicators
- Provides excellent customer service to external and internal customers. Reviews and monitors patient and customer satisfaction including reviewing feedback from patients and customers and developing action plans with staff to meet satisfaction goals.

- Serves as patient and family advocate.
- Ability to acquire and administer human, financial, material and information resources in a manner that instills staff and customer trust and accomplishes the organization's mission.
- Measures and monitors employee satisfaction. Reviews feedback and develops action plans with staff to drive improvement.
- Works to ensure that the practice stays within budget parameters. Prepares reports and statistical summaries for the physicians and Operations Director or Division Administrator as requested. Provides monthly reporting recommendations or action plans on any issues.
- Develops employees by offering challenging growth opportunities and managing performance by overseeing work, providing feedback and holding employees accountable for unsatisfactory behavior including recommending and initiating personnel action for performance issues utilizing appropriate channels and procedures
- Evaluates staff performance for probationary period and annual performance appraisals
- Reallocates staff among teams as needed to meet patient care needs
- Sets example for clinical staff by ensuring all personal certification and mandatory education requirements are met

Develops working relationship with outside vendors, sponsors and other health care facilities while representing LMC's standards 7. Maintains an ongoing working knowledge of applicable research regulations and standards to ensure compliance 8. Oversees all clinical operations related to conduct of the clinical trial (i.e. informed consent, procedure, visit coordination, supply accountability). 9. Ability to acquire and administer human, financial, material and information resources in a manner that instills staff and customer trust and accomplishes the organization's mission. Provides monthly reporting recommendations or action plans on any issues. 11.Develops employees by offering challenging growth opportunities and managing performance by overseeing work, providing feedback and holding employees accountable for unsatisfactory behavior including recommending and initiating personnel action for performance issues utilizing appropriate channels and procedures. 12.Evaluates staff performance for probationary period and annual performance appraisals 13.Seeks out potential clinical trial opportunities 14.Responsible for the oversight of subject recruitment, patient care, adverse event reporting, preparing the case report form (CRF), submitting CRFs and other data to the Sponsor as necessary and study close-out. 15.Clear on-going communication with patients, physician investigators, sponsors and other key players throughout the clinical trial process. 16.Sets example by meeting all requirements as defined by Lexington Medical Center's policies including but not limited to completing yearly safety training, completing other mandatory classes, and meeting departmental attendance requirements. 17.All other duties as assigned.
