Job Summary

The Provider Recruiter manages the provider recruitment process and is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing effective provider sourcing and recruitment initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization. They recruit qualified providers for medical staff and assists in the development of strategic recruitment plans, coordinating a comprehensive recruitment program and assessing both immediate and long-term organizational recruitment needs. The Provider Recruiter is responsible for monitoring recruitment activity across all service lines, sourcing, maintaining reports, scheduling and coordinating interviews with Administration, acting as the main contact for providers during the entire process, and participating in the onboarding and orientation process of new providers.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years of related experience in an Administrative or Clerical Support role
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): 2 Years of Administrative or Clerical Support experience can be substituted for 1 Year of direct experience in physician recruitment and/or functioning as a physician hiring liaison
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: None.

Essential Functions
  • Manages program and project implementations.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Physician Network Vice Presidents, Practice Management, and Executive leadership.
  • Works with senior management, hiring managers, the Marketing Department and LMC Human Resources staff to develop yearly recruiting strategies and search assignments.
  • Prepares candidates for interviews, including providing logistical information, interview schedule and expectations for follow up.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the employment market, geographic challenges, competition and specific client and industry needs through the use of market intelligence tools.
  • Leads communication and relationships with hiring managers and interview teams. Provide feedback on applicants and candidates and ensure timely coordination of candidate movement through various systems and processes.
  • Standardizes and maintain Recruiting Status reports.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with key recruitment firms and maintains files of active search firm agreements.
  • Provides data analysis of provider recruitment activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the creation and distribution of recruitment packets, including but not limited to, information about Lexington Medical Center, the Physician Network, surrounding Lexington and Richland area, etc..
  • Maintains high level of expertise by participating in online educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining recruitment networks.
  • Schedules and organize provider interviews, community, and real estate tours.
  • Develops and maintain an effective working knowledge of local healthcare provider employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation, and benefits to answer candidate questions as needed.
  • Continually develop and improve upon processes, procedures, policies and techniques to recruit providers. Maintain up to date knowledge and compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines.
  • Assists with the documentation needed for the completion of the credentialing process, as needed. This may include but is not limited to references, background check, license verification, and other screenings as needed.
  • Participates in various recruiting project initiatives, including travel to and from recruitment fairs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate provider onboarding.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
