Overview
Vocalink Limited is a subsidiary of Mastercard that enables the payments of 90% of salaries, 70% of utility bills, most ATM transactions and every cheque cleared in the UK. The successful candidate will become part of a high functioning team, dedicated to delivering a robust, secure, and resilient service to 60+ million citizens every day with transactional volume of 11 billion/year and total annual transactional value in excess of GBP6 trillion.

This position will report to the Vice President, Head of Compliance, Legal Compliance and is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Delivery and execution of the Compliance Plan to confirm ongoing adherence with regulatory obligations, including Bank of England requirements.
• Assist in producing and maintaining relevant compliance policies, procedures and departmental processes.
• Act as an escalation point for compliance queries from the Business teams and provide, guidance, support, oversight and challenge, as appropriate.
• Manage the relationship with the Bank of England including tracking of information requests, arranging regular supervisory meetings with senior management and Board members, preparing briefings and tracking actions arising from any such meetings.
• Preparation of submissions and returns to the Bank of England, coordinating information gathering with internal stakeholders and ensuring accuracy and completeness of submissions in line with required deadlines.
• Production of regular Management Information and reporting for senior management, the Vocalink Board Audit Committee, the Vocalink Board Risk Committee, the Vocalink Board and other internal stakeholders on the status of the compliance programme.
• Align policies, processes and controls with enterprise-wide frameworks and support the use of the global regulatory compliance tooling.
• Assessing the impact of changes to relevant regulations and industry guidance on existing policies and procedures, communicating required changes to relevant business areas and ensuring any necessary changes are implemented as required.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate compliance considerations into business processes and initiatives.

All About You

• Proven track record of compliance experience within financial or professional services.
• Ability to interpret regulations and guidance in order to assess the impact and develop practical operational procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence and engage key stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage competing priorities to completion and to deal with rapid changes of priority in a fast paced environment.
• Analytical and detail focused with the ability to identify anomalies, trends and make recommendations.
• Experience with compliance management systems and tools is advantageous.
• Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
