Copywriter for Market Trends product Overview

Services is comprised of a powerful combination of expertise, with products and solutions powered by Mastercard data. At Business & Market Insights organization within the Services, we help organizations understand the broader macroeconomic and market landscape, enabling them to make informed strategic decisions, manage risks, gain competitive advantage, optimize financial performance, and adapt to changes effectively, by offering a portfolio of innovative hyperpersonalised products that leverage new technologies and AI.
Market Trends is one of the core products in this business intelligence ecosystem, built on a universe of market data and payment insights, and supported by a repository of publications focused on payments thought leadership. The Market Trends global product team is seeking a Specialist, Product Management to drive our content copywriting initiatives, manage editorial process and deliver our content strategy. This role is key to fulfilling our value proposition as the authority in payments thought leadership and is crucial to drive forward Market Trends product's awareness and usage.

Key objective of this role:
• Write engaging content (thought leadership) on a range of topics, from global payment and technology trends to topical reports on cards, operations, acceptance, fraud, cybersecurity, data analytics, etc, and across industries (banking, acquiring, retail & commerce, fintechs, etc)
• Write both long-form (whitepapers) and short-form (articles, blogs) content and explore innovative ways to tell the story beyond a standard whitepaper or blog
• Reach out to internal teams and resources as well as to external resources (articles, press read, thought leaders etc.) to collect the information that will be included in thought leadership materials
• Prepare publicly available content on key topics and in various formats to support the product's communication and engagement activities
• Aligning with diverse stakeholders from the organization to finalize the output ensuring all necessary approvals
• Review content and language for already created reports, and write summaries or abstracts based on available materials, ensuring consistency in tone of voice
• Provide overall support for materials curation and publishing, including language proofreading and maintaining consistency throughout all published content.
• Collaborate with the engagement and platform teams in Business Intelligence to support wider initiatives and actively participate in product enhancement projects
• Publishing pipeline strategy and implementation
• Consultation services to other stakeholders and contributors to share guidelines and empower them writing thought leadership
• Understand and analyze KPIs on how content is performing and draw conclusions for what's working and what's not
• Competitive benchmarking: ensuring the well competition awareness, and overall industry direction; proposing new content formats that are attractive to users

Required skills:
• Experience in a think-tank or research company within the payments, fintech, or financial industry sector
• Preferred background in the financial and payments industry and willingness to learn more about the industry
• Deep interest and expertise in the payment and technology industry, with strong attention to detail
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve alignment and ensure participation from all stakeholders
• Ability to effectively navigate and understand the Mastercard organization
• Project management skills, including strong communication, planning, prioritization, and anticipation of interdependencies
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
• Native-level proficiency in English is highly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent relevant experience
