Creative Manager, Art (Managing Consultant) Overview

The Data & Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, this team provides consulting, marketing, loyalty and analytics to financial institutions and merchants globally. Marketing Services is the team within D&S that develops and executes the marketing programs that help our clients achieve their marketing goals. The Advisors Creative Desk sits within D&S and is responsible for ideating and creating engaging, forward-thinking, on-brand content solutions that connect our advertising partners, platforms, and our portfolio of brands.
As Creative Manager, Art, you will bring strong visual leadership, conceptual thinking, and craft excellence to every project. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deliverables across channels while elevating the visual quality of work produced for our clients. You will partner closely with Project Management and Production teams to support global Advisors Creative Desk initiatives, ensuring high-volume creative adaptations are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to the highest creative and brand standards through strong quality assurance and quality control, while actively exploring how advanced AI tools and technologies can enhance creative workflows and efficiency.
This role is based in Gurgaon, India.

Role

• Lead visual creative direction across multiple client briefs, drawing from prior experience as an Art Director or creative lead.
• Oversee projects from brief through execution, ensuring creative intent is clearly translated into final outputs across digital, social, video, print, and emerging formats.
• Support global Advisors Creative Desk teams by adapting, scaling, and localising master creative assets efficiently without compromising creative quality.
• Act as a key QA/QC gatekeeper, reviewing and approving high-volume adaptations and localisations to ensure brand consistency, accuracy, and production readiness.
• Establish and uphold quality control standards, ensuring all work adheres to Mastercard brand guidelines, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
• Managing multiple briefs across categories for distribution on channels.
• Manage and mentor a team of designers, setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and maintaining consistently high output across all deliverables. Ensure smooth handovers, efficient workflows, and on-time delivery.
• Present work clearly and confidently in internal reviews and client meetings, articulating visual rationale and quality decisions.
• Be proactive in bringing forward ideas that help solve business or creative challenges and drive growth.
• Actively identify new opportunities, future trends, and areas for creative innovation.
• Embrace and explore advanced AI tools and technologies while maintaining strong creative judgement.

All About You
• 10–12 years of experience, with a strong background as an Art Director and demonstrated progression into a creative leadership or management role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and polished execution across multiple channels.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in creative technical tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), to support high-volume creative adaptation, quality control, and efficient production workflows; HTML5 skills are highly desirable.
• Proven experience leading teams and owning creative output in a high-volume, fast-paced production or in-house creative environment.
• Expert in Final Artwork (FA) production.
• Deep understanding of brand systems, with exceptional attention to detail and a strong QA/QC mindset.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and tight deadlines simultaneously.
• Confident communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable operating as a player–coach, balancing hands-on art direction with people leadership responsibilities.
• AI-savvy, or genuinely curious about the evolving AI landscape, with interest or experience in using AI tools to enhance creative production, adaptation, and quality control workflows.
• Skilled at working under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communication, or a related creative or digital discipline.
