Title and Summary
Customer Experience and Design Intern (UX Research), Summer 2026 - Purchase, NY This role is not eligible for Mastercard's work authorization sponsorship. About the Team
Our Experience Research & Analytics Insights team is the customer's voice within the company, driving decisions through deep user insights and data-driven analysis. We conduct qualitative and quantitative research, track experience metrics, and collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering to ensure every solution meets real user needs. Day-to-day, we design and run studies, build and validate rapid prototypes, and translate findings into actionable strategies that influence roadmaps and investments. By standardizing measurement, automating reporting, and championing customer-centric design, we accelerate innovation, reduce risk, and create experiences that strengthen loyalty and deliver measurable business impact.
Internship Program
Mastercard's summer internship program provides emerging talent with projects that will enhance skills as well as contribute to the department's goals and objectives. In this program, you will participate in:
- Networking events, mentorship opportunities, and hear from senior leaders
- Volunteer and team building opportunities
- Formal performance assessments
- End-of-summer presentations to peers and Mastercard leadership
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in IT Management, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field with a graduation date of Winter 2027 or beyond
- Previous experience conducting UX Research
- Exposure to AI design, preferrable with Figma Make
- Proactive, problem solver, solution oriented
- B2B knowledge is preferred
- Experience working on SaS - journey mapping and end-to-end experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills, ability and willingness to tackle complex problems
