Title and Summary

Director M & A Data Governance The Director M & A, Data Governance is responsible for the oversight and development of data governance processes, standards and policies to improve data practices within new mergers and acquisition on the cyber intelligence space. Duties include but not be limited to creation, partnership with the development, design, implementation, and on-going adherence to data governance and data management practices and processes.

This role will report to the Vice President, Data Governance.

Role
• Develops a data governance process and assists in the formation and administration of an enterprise data governance program for newly acquired business partner to Mastercard
• Partners with others within the Data Strategy and Management Team to identify control points and develop control structures for governance processes, as well as devising processes to manage program updates.
• Manages a work queue of issues for both new and ongoing efforts and escalate any data issues/ requests seeking variances to senior executive management for review and approval.
• Provides governance subject matter expertise across the integration process for projects and to ensure data is being governed properly.
• Facilitates forums to communicate governance practices and principles to improve data literacy and compliance.
• Serves as a data-driven change agent and advocate, persuading and influencing the organization at the grassroots level on the importance of governance.

All About You

• Familiarity with industry best practices for data governance
• Superior understanding cyber intelligence players and the types of data they hold
• Knowledge and understanding of “driving organization change” for data governance
• Experienced in establishing and enforcing standards, processes, policies and procedures to support data quality and management
• Demonstrated ability to understand complex information product constructs, databases and data structures
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building, influencing and partnering
• Highly-motivated self-starter with the ability to flexibly multi-task between strategy-related work and tactical ‘in the trenches' work. Ability to produce measureable business results while working under time constraints.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
