Director, Total Rewards, Global Mobility

Overview

The Total Rewards Team delivers world class programs that position our company as an employer of choice. Our global team designs and delivers consumer focused compensation, benefits, and mobility programs for our employees, and leads all human resources M&A activities.

This position plays a pivotal role in our organization by overseeing the global mobility of our employees and is responsible for delivering policies and programs that facilitate the international movement of employees while ensuring compliance with local regulations and providing a seamless and positive experience for our mobile workforce.

Role:

Global Mobility Strategy:
• Implement and maintain global mobility programs aligned with the organization's talent management and business goals.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance global mobility procedures and policies, ensuring they reflect industry best practices and support employee and business needs.

Consultation and Advisory:
• Act as subject matter expert on global mobility matters, providing consultation and guidance on international assignments, relocation, immigration, and routine tax matters.
• Develop strategies and timely solutions for complex cases and queries raised by employees and cross-functional partners.
• Act as an advisor and escalation point for Mastercard's Global Business Service Center as they administer global mobility programs.

Global Assignment Management:
• Manage international assignments in connection with the organization's talent strategy.
• Provide guidance and support to executives and their families and oversee all aspects of the assignment lifecycle.

Compliance and Risk Mitigation:
• Stay updated on international immigration laws and regulations, ensuring all relocations and company employment sponsorships are compliant.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with international assignments and relocations, such as security concerns, tax, or legal issues.

Vendor Management:
• Partner with external relocation, immigration, tax and payroll vendors to provide seamless service delivery of mobility programs.
• Ensure vendors deliver quality services and value for the organization.

Data Management & Reporting:
• In partnership with the Global Business Service Center, maintain accurate mobility data, tracking key metrics and performance indicators.
• Prepare and present regular reports to cross-functional partners and senior management on the status and effectiveness of the global mobility program.
• Monitor and give visibility to global mobility costs, including assignment compensation, tax implications, relocation, and immigration expenses.

All About You:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., GMS, CRP, SCRP) is a plus.
• Proven experience in global mobility program management, ideally in a corporate multi-national environment
• Strong understanding of international employment laws, immigration, and tax regulations
• Experience in supplier relationship management
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing global environment
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and adaptability

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
