The Marketing Technology Solutions (MarTS) group is building cutting-edge technology platforms for Mastercard's marketing teams. These platforms span multiple channels including web, mobile, and IoT. The team is focused on delivering intuitive, unified, and intent-driven solutions that empower customers, generate high-value leads, and elevate the Mastercard brand. This role is a career-defining opportunity to lead global marketing technology initiatives for one of the world's most recognized brands.

Role: Lead Software Development Engineer (L6)

As a proactive Lead Engineer in a distributed agile team, you will:
• Lead the design and development of secure, scalable, and high-performance applications.
• Work extensively with Java microservices, React/Angular, and cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to define features and user stories.
• Deliver high-quality solutions within budget, scope, and timelines.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to team members.
• Support production services and ensure operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement in development standards and processes.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure iterative delivery across the lifecycle.

Technical Qualifications
You should bring:
• Years of experience in full-stack development using Java, React/Angular, and Spring Boot.
• Expertise in REST APIs, Microservices, Messaging Frameworks, and secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE).
• Hands-on experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Jenkins, GIT, and Oracle/Postgres databases.
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade systems and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure (required) and AWS (good to have).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and SDLC practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Ability to solve challenges related to scale, resilience, security, and performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
