Title and Summary
Mainframe Platform Specialist-1 Key Responsibilities:- Daily monitoring and maintenance of mainframe systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Implementing and managing software upgrades, patches, and configurations on mainframe platforms.
- Collaborating with development teams to support application deployments and integrations on the mainframe.
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to mainframe performance, hardware, and software.
- Conducting regular security assessments and implementing necessary measures to safeguard mainframe data.
- Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams on mainframe-related matters.
- Developing and maintaining documentation related to mainframe processes, procedures, and configurations.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with mainframe systems, including IBM zSeries or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operational best practices.
- Proficiency in mainframe programming language COBOL
- Experience with mainframe database management systems like DB2 and IMS.
- Familiarity with mainframe security protocols and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of modern mainframe technologies and trends.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools for mainframe environments.
- Certifications in mainframe technologies or related fields.
