Title and Summary

Manager, B2B Partnerships Overview
Operating worldwide, the Mastercard Verticals team leverages the company's assets to open new business opportunities in non-traditional sectors. By partnering with industry-leading organizations, the team orchestrates new value, drives innovative solutions, and builds partnerships that better serve customers, markets, and ecosystems. The B2B payments space—both card and non-card—represents a significant growth opportunity for Mastercard. To deliver on this, the Verticals team develops partnerships, a platform vision, and approaches to address long-standing pain points in B2B payments, embedding payments into business processes and creating value at multiple levels. We are seeking a Manager to drive measurable customer success by working with solution integrators, consulting organizations, internal Mastercard teams, and ecosystem stakeholders to support B2B partnerships, sales campaigns, and supplier enablement programs for digitized payments. The Manager will provide leadership and coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders such as regional Sales, Product, Issuer, Acceptance, Services, and PMO.

Role Responsibilities
• Support B2B partnerships by selling commercial payment solutions such as virtual cards, with opportunities to expand into other payment types such as digital currencies and non-card modalities.
• Identify and maintain ongoing communications with internal and external stakeholders, business customers, suppliers, and related partners or third parties as needed.
• Collaborate with the PMO to prepare and distribute program and executive leadership updates, including measurements against GDV targets.
• Establish partner governance and conduct structured update meetings with key contributors.
• Build and maintain senior management relationships within key partner and customer organizations.
• Develop a deep understanding of B2B platforms, their capabilities, and strengths, and identify opportunities for Mastercard to provide solutions that expand payment features for their customers.

Requirements
• Understanding of how businesses—large and small—make and receive payments.
• Awareness of B2B networks, procure-to-pay, and ERP processes.
• Knowledge of the payment ecosystem and associated best practices, including acquiring banks, payment facilitators, and issuers.
• Sales and partnership experience, including running sales cycles, deal strategy, and establishing distribution channels through partnerships.
• Strategic, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage interdependencies and complex partner or customer sales situations.
• Strong attention to detail with clear definition of requirements and timelines.
• Experience managing customer expectations on deliverables and milestones.
• Proven ability to lead within matrixed organizations and drive success.
• Self-starter with a collaborative approach to working across extended teams.
• Organized and efficient in work processes.
• Ability to navigate complex organizations and matrixed teams to achieve goals.
• Experience working with international teams and global stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of key corporate business functions such as procurement/sourcing, payments/treasury, and/or regulatory or supply chain risk management.
• Familiarity with commercial card programs, their operations, and commercial structures.
• Understanding of payment solutions leveraged by corporate and government agencies.
