Title and Summary

Manager, Risk Management Overview:
This role supports the global Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program and ensures robust risk assessment and ongoing monitoring practices for a portfolio of third-party relationships. Through collaboration with business relationship owners, business leadership, external third parties, and internal subject matter experts (i.e., Corporate Security, Compliance, Legal, Privacy), the incumbent enables and advances program objectives by helping assigned business units or regions understand, measure, and manage the risks inherent with third party relationships. The role, with a focus on privacy and data protection, will ensure third-party risk remediation adhere to the company's risk appetite and demonstrate Mastercard's best-in-class compliance with all relevant laws globally.

Role:
‒ Maintain strong understanding of the products, services, and activities of assigned business unit, as well as third party risk management principles and practices, and leverage that understanding to provide consulting, guidance and education to stakeholders throughout the third-party lifecycle.
‒ Establish and manage risk dashboards and other reports for key stakeholders and help them understand and manage their third-party portfolio from a risk perspective.
‒ Ensure third party adherence to Mastercard's standards and contractual requirements via overseeing and/or directly performing remote and on-site assessments of third parties with a focus on Privacy and Data Protection.
‒ Assess identified issues and coordinate with business relationship owners and other stakeholders to develop appropriate action plans and monitor to resolution
‒ Understand customer and regulatory requirements related to assigned third party portfolio, and represent TPRM during internal, customer, or regulatory audits/assessments.
‒ Coordinate with business development and Privacy and Data Protection team to ensure that commitments to customers regarding TPRM program capabilities are appropriate, inventoried, and managed.
‒ Support M&A due diligence activities related to supplier and other third-party risk matters.
‒ Represent TPRM on business unit, regional, Privacy and Data Protection and/or risk function committees and working groups.
‒ Coordinate with Sourcing, risk functions, Privacy and Data Protection and Crisis Management teams to address vendor performance problems or third-party incidents.

All About You:
The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Have a good understanding and a working knowledge of navigating, updating and performing data entry into a GRC tool.
• A risk-based mindset able to succinctly identify critical areas of concern and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of and expertise in risk management frameworks and processes preferably in financial services industry and payment processing.
• Understanding of complex data systems in order to identify privacy risks including knowledge of data driven technologies.
• Capacity to quickly grasp essence of new global privacy and data laws and understand resulting requirements for implementation of risk assessment practices.
• Keen sense of urgency with a results-driven orientation, strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building and partnering, including first-line engagement.
• Superior program management skills and capability to standardize and automate processes through existing or new company tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills across all lines of defense and levels of the organization. Attention to detail is a must.
• Have an ability to adapt to change quickly, work comfortably with ambiguity, and manage multiple tasks successfully.
• Be committed to effectively serving internal customers.
• Have a strong working knowledge of current workplace productivity and collaboration tools, especially Microsoft Office 365 (including SharePoint, Excel, and Teams). In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
