Principal, Infrastructure Architect Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Network Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of our network monitoring and observability platforms. This role is critical in ensuring end-to-end visibility, performance assurance, and proactive fault management across our global network infrastructure.

We are looking for a visionary leader who is passionate about technology and customer experience, with the ability to anticipate future needs and drive strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in network architecture, possess a strategic mindset, and demonstrate a proven ability to navigate complex challenges.
This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to deliver robust and forward-thinking solutions that meet business requirements. If you are an analytical, highly motivated professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive for continuous improvement, we invite you to join our team and contribute to the future of our network infrastructure.

The Role
• Architect end-to-end monitoring solutions for high-availability payment networks, including backbone, edge, cloud, and data center environments.
• Design and implement real-time observability pipelines using tools like ThousandEyes, LogicMonitor, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Splunk, and custom telemetry frameworks.
• Define network SLAs, KPIs, and SLOs aligned with payment transaction performance and regulatory compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis and incident forensics through advanced correlation of logs, flows, and metrics.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure monitoring meets PCI-DSS and other regulatory standards.
• Drive automation and AI/ML-based anomaly detection to proactively identify and mitigate network issues.
• Evaluate and integrate next-gen observability tools and contribute to vendor strategy.
• Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions across the broader infrastructure team.

All About You
• The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of network requirements: low latency, deterministic routing, high availability, and compliance (payments industry experience would be highly preferred).
• Expertise in SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX, sFlow, streaming telemetry, and packet-level analysis.
• Hands-on experience with a variety of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, DataDog, Wireshark, and custom-built solutions.
• Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, REST APIs, Ansible, Terraform as well as Jenkins) would be a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-native networking and monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Be skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly
• Be a confident and exacting writer and speaker, with the ability to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders
• Always look for potential solutions to solve problems
