Product Architect Director – Product Architect

Overview

The Digital Authentication Service team owns and develops Mastercard's cardholder / consumer Authentication Program and is responsible for developing and maintaining the platform to host innovative, best-in-class methods for authenticating cardholders/consumers in support of a range of use-cases including e-commerce checkouts. As a Product Architect within the team, you will lead the detailed definition and design of authentication product capabilities and experiences for our Authentication Service in support of our product backlog.

Role
· Work with Product Managers and other relevant regional stakeholders to discover high-level business requirements for new product capabilities
· Decompose business requirements into detailed product definitions, requirements and designs that drive the product roadmap
· Work with Product Managers, PM-Ts, UX designers and Engineering Architects to elaborate product definitions and designs to validate assumptions and design approaches
· Create product definition and design artefacts including product requirements documents, product architecture designs, API Swagger specifications, sequence diagrams, process flows, data models, and others as appropriate
· Consult across stakeholders to review product requirement and design documents, and acceptance criteria
· Share and explain product requirements and design artefacts with PM-T and engineering leads in line with our operating model and timelines
· Act as the voice of the customer to ensure product designs remain customer focused
· Dive deep into the underlying product and technology domains to stay ahead of the curve
· Ensure deliverables are in line with business requirements
· Balance trade-offs between competing interests using judgement, data, and experience
· Tackle hard problems in new spaces, bringing clarity to ambiguity and complexity

· Can deliver high quality products requirements and design artefacts in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly
· Demonstrates ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy
· Extensive experience developing technical product definitions, requirements and designs ideally in an e-commerce / cards-based technology company
· Experience with best-in-class cardholder/consumer authentication methods and technologies
· Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
· Can communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity
