Title and Summary

Project Manager II, Workplace Experience Team The Project Manager II serves as a trusted day-to-day partner to the Workplace Experience leadership and senior site leaders by leading the end-to-end management of location-based initiatives, programs, and events, ensuring disciplined execution and strong stakeholder alignment. This role will focus on operational excellence & team enablement at our location sites across Canada and help leaders see around corners by translating data into insight and insight into action.

Responsibilities include:
• Acting as an extension of Workplace Experience leadership on the ground, representing the function with credibility, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Partnering closely with senior stakeholders to anticipate needs, prepare decision ready materials, and support leadership meetings.
• Translating enterprise and divisional strategy into clear, executable site level plans and priorities.
• Preparing briefs, prereads, talking points, and synthesis materials ahead of key meetings, walkthroughs, and leadership engagements.
• Navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving expectations with composure and professionalism.
• Managing initiative intake, scoping, timelines, dependencies, risks/issues, execution, and retrospectives.
• Building and maintaining practical project artifacts, including project plans, action trackers, runofshow documents, and communications plans.
• Coordinating across internal partners such as Real Estate, Facilities, Workforce Strategy, Security, Technology/AV, Finance, People/HR, and Communications.
• Partnering with external stakeholders (e.g., academic, community, or industry partners) where applicable.
• Ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with a consistently high-quality employee and stakeholder experience.
• Owning meeting operations: agendas, minutes, decisions, action items, follow-ups, and status reporting.
• Bringing structure, clarity, and follow through to a fastpaced, multistakeholder environment.
• Supporting day-to-day operational needs, including vendor coordination, logistics, and onsite support for key moments.
• Tracking and managing budgets tied to site initiatives, including forecasting, invoices, purchase requests, and financial reconciliations.
• Exercising sound judgment in knowing when to escalate, when to act independently, and when to seek alignment.
• Partnering with People/HR and site stakeholders to analyze workforce signals such as headcount trends, staffing changes, onsite presence patterns, space and seat demand indicators, and program participation.
• Maintaining and improving KPI tracking for site initiatives and partnerships through dashboards, scorecards, and trend reporting.
• Performing data analysis to identify patterns related to utilization, capacity, participation, operational throughput, and stakeholder sentiment.
• Building strong Excel based models and reporting tools to support decision making.
• Synthesizing quantitative data and qualitative signals into clear insights, implications, tradeoffs, and recommended actions for leadership.
• Proactively surfacing emerging risks, opportunities, and trends tied to growth, staffing, and experience. Building and sustaining trust based relationships across functions, levels, and geographies.
• Applying user experience and employee experience principles to improve journeys, remove friction, and enable continuous improvement.
• Influencing without authority by aligning stakeholders around shared outcomes.
• Communicating clearly, professionally, and with appropriate discretion in complex and high visibility environments.
• Demonstrating strong emotional intelligence, situational awareness, and the ability to navigate nuanced leadership dynamics.

All About You

• 5-7 years of experience in project coordination or project management in a fastpaced environment with multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders and highexpectation stakeholders.
• Strong operational discipline with a track record of reliable followthrough.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, structured datasets; charts a plus) and strong PowerPoint storytelling.
• Comfort with data analysis, KPI reporting, and dashboards; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is an asset.
• Project management certification or Agile exposure is a plus.
• Strong executive presence: confident, thoughtful, and composed.
• Highly relational with the ability to build trust quickly and navigate complexity.
• Proactive selfstarter with a teamfirst, serviceoriented mindset.
• Comfortable operating in gray areas and balancing strategy with execution.
• Trusted to handle sensitive information and leadership dynamics with discretion and sound judgment.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in Canada, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive pay based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
