Our Purpose

We support a wide range of digital payments choices, making transactions secure, simple, smart and accessible. Title and Summary

Sales Director, Data Partnerships - Media Services is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services.

We're looking for a dynamic Sales Director, Data Partnerships - Media to join Mastercard's Services team in London and help us expand our media data partnerships in the UK. This is a front-line, quota-carrying role where you'll be out in the market every day — building new relationships, pitching our solutions, and closing deals that make a measurable impact.

The UK is Mastercard's largest media market in Europe, and you'll play a central role in shaping how agencies, publishers, platforms, and ad tech partners use our unique data products — including Advertising Insights, Geo Insights, Tourism Insights, and SpendingPulse — to power smarter advertising, sharper targeting, and stronger ROI.

If you're a natural networker, energized by chasing opportunities, and excited to bring Mastercard's data story to life in the media world — this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business: Proactively identify, engage, and close sales opportunities with media agencies, publishers, demand-side platforms (DSPs), and digital platforms (e.g., Amazon, Google, Meta).
• Build pipeline: Manage a robust prospect list, leveraging both Mastercard's resources and your own network to open doors and generate leads. Track progress through the sales cycle and deliver accurate forecasts.
• Manage accounts: While the role is primarily new business, also develop and grow existing client relationships, ensuring strong adoption, renewals, and upsell opportunities.
• Translate value: Position Mastercard's media data products to senior decision-makers, demonstrating how insights can drive performance, efficiency, and ROI for their clients.
• Collaborate internally: Engage Mastercard colleagues across sales, product, marketing, and delivery to support client objectives and ensure successful execution of deals.
• Develop account strategies: For high-potential partners and clients, build structured account penetration strategies and business plans to maximize revenue growth.
• Market & partner feedback: Provide ongoing insights from clients and the market back into Mastercard's product and marketing teams to refine solutions and positioning.
• Industry presence: Represent Mastercard at trade shows, industry forums, and client events, showcasing our data solutions and building brand visibility.
• Own the sales cycle: From prospecting and proposal through to negotiation and closing, with accountability for delivering against revenue targets.

About You

• Proven track record in media or data sales, with success meeting or exceeding quotas.
• Strong network and deep knowledge of the media ecosystem – agencies, publishers, platforms, ad tech, and data providers.
• A true hunter profile – comfortable opening doors, pitching to new contacts, and driving deals from start to finish.
• Experience developing and managing joint business planning with partners.
• Strategic thinker who can quickly develop a point of view on market opportunities to focus on for each solution area and move to action.
• A natural people person: you enjoy engaging with new stakeholders, you don't shy away from rejection, and you bring energy to every interaction.
• Commercial oriented—always looking for the next mega opportunity.
• A great listener and collaborator, humble enough to keep learning from colleagues and external experts alike.
