Title and Summary

Senior Analyst-1 Job Purpose:
With Project Masterlink going live imminently the need for additional staff is required to manage substantial volumes, going forward, this role is created for the purpose of controlling the account receivables / payables aspect which is vital for maintaining a stable liquidity position by
• Maintaining an impeccable record of account receivables / payables
• Spearhead the Masterlink operations which will be rolled out PAN Africa
• Operations include reconciliation activities and preparation of net settlement reports.
• Ensure timely upload to the counterparty servers for facilitating reconciliation activities and settlement.
• Conducting effective liaising with counterparties to ensure sync-up in books of accounts between Mastercard and the counterparty(s).

Principle Accountabilities or Responsibilities:
• Spearheading the daily recon of account receivables / account payables
• Creating and maintaining of daily dashboard

Key Decisions & Authority
• Responsible for reconciliation related activity
• To act as the first point of contact for Masterlink settlement related operations

Educational Qualification:
Graduate / Post Graduate Degree with Finance & Accounting Specialization

Relevant Experience:
• Atleast 8-10 years of accounting experience preferably in the financial / banking sector.
• Extensive experience and a specialist in reconciliation related activities.
• Good knowledge of accounting concepts and Foreign Exchange calculations involved in cross border remittance transactions.
• Ability to interact with counterparty stakeholders which includes global banking and other financial entities.
• Should possess stakeholder management skillsets both external and internal.
• Should have excellent data analytical skills sets.
• Should be self-starter always look forward for potential solutions to solve problems.

Technical Skills & Certifications:
• Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of MS office applications particularly Ms Excel
• Knowledge of Macros will be an added advantage.
• Ability to create meaningful presentations.
