Title and Summary
Senior Vice President, Digital Payments, EEMEA OverviewThe SVP, Digital Payments will manage Authentication, Digital Products, and Digital Commercialization for the EEMEA region. This role is responsible for aligning Mastercard's Global Digital Payments strategy and Commercialization with the EEMEA region. This includes product enablement, product management, and the introduction of new digital products and capabilities in areas such as Blockchain, Central Bank digital currencies, Cryptocurrencies, Open Banking, and Fintech.
The SVP will lead all EEMEA Digital Commercialization and Digital product initiatives, encompassing product development, market engagements, and fostering relationships with relevant external ecosystems and players.
About the Role
Engages with Mastercard senior management to develop the strategic direction for Mastercard digital payment products and services.
Ensures our digital payments strategy is aligned and integrated with the needs of our core business and the needs of our customers.
Coordinates strategy, integration and deployment with the regional teams; including driving differentiated products to meet the current and emerging needs of MasterCard customers
Partners with O&T, Services. Customer Delivery and Marketing at senior levels to define and drive execution of go-to-market strategies
Responsible for In-Market product financial performance including P&L
Acts as an expert, advocate and champion for designated products to internal and external stakeholders
Advises and supports sales by recommending and influencing product pricing, and oversees the development of training and other product support materials for a region
Identifies, evaluates and prioritizes business cases for new business and product opportunities, and builds business models to improve MasterCard's footprint and competitiveness at a market level
Monitoring customer opportunities, market intelligence and industry signals to ensure Mastercard is providing smart solutioning and keeping pace with evolution in related product areas
Responsible for managing market-level product roadmaps and for ensuring Go to Market readiness for Digital payment products Solutions to drive sales and gain customer confidence
All about You
Relevant experience in the payment industry; product management, market development, product development with extensive experience in Emerging Payments area.
• Leadership position. People management experience of skilled professionals. Ability to work with senior management in geographically diverse environment is key
• Ideal candidate would have launched and / or managed multiple Emerging Payments services within financial institution, telco, or a payment service provider or Card schemes.
• Experience in developing Emerging Payments and other financial services in Middle East and Africa markets
• Strong business/technical background within the payments and financial services industries
• Understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends
• Ability to interpret macro-economic and demographic trends, with an ability to craft research and validation processes that support the selection of features and functions that support Emerging Payments payment growth opportunities
• Strong project management and communication skills a must
• Willingness to travel extensively, particularly across the MEA regions and to the US is essential
