Title and Summary

Senior Vice President, Enterprise Strategy Overview:
The Corporate Strategy group helps the company and its business units understand and navigate market and competitive dynamics, identify the priorities that are most critical for the future success of the company, and builds strategic plans to address threats and opportunities to drive growth and long-term value. The team works closely with the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors, as well as executive leadership across all regions, product, services, and functional groups.

Role:
The Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy will lead strategy for Mastercard globally.
Specifically, this role is responsible for:
- Identifying the most critical long-term opportunities for Mastercard, including identifying new white spaces where Mastercard can create competitive advantage and compete
- Working with executive management, business units, and regions to develop strategies that support expansion of Mastercard's businesses and advance the company's competitive advantage
- Providing thought leadership on new trends, opportunities, and focus areas for the company.
- Leading the Global strategy team; actively coach and motivate team to foster development and encourage outstanding results
- Collaborating with counterparts in corporate development and M&A on realization of Mastercard's corporate strategy
- Managing Board communication on strategy as well as the annual strategy agenda including frequent discussions with the CEO, Management team, and Directors

All About You:
- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
- Multiple years of experience at a top-tier strategy consultancy or internal strategy group in a large organization
- Knowledge of payments and/or financial services and technology
- Demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to be effective outside direct reporting lines; excellent relationship skills
- Ability to create and defend a perspective on a topic, supported by a robust fact-base and the evaluation of a range of alternatives
- Inquisitive, curious, and confident, with a desire for going above and beyond immediate requirements to find deep insights that others have missed
- Clear leadership skills; ability to articulate a strategic vision and to motivate the team toward empowerment
- A genuine passion for problem-solving in a simplified, uncomplicated manner
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
