Specialist, Product Management - Spending Pulse Senior Specialist, Product ManagementRole overview:
• Acts as a Product owner and manages short/ mid term strategic initiatives for a commercialized product in coordination with the Product Manager.
• Roles in this family oversee product evolution, implement incremental improvements within the product's life cycle, conduct ongoing care and maintenance.
Responsibilities
• Supports the Agile ceremonies along with the Product Manager.
• Collects/ creates and shares user stories with engineering teams.
• Understands and translates requirements into desired functionality.
• Owns and manages product documentation ensuring they are clear and easily consumable by cross-functional and management.
• Defines acceptance criteria & co reviews feature set for deployment.
• Reviews product demo against acceptance criteria
• Prepares launches and monitors product performances, adoption, and operational health for feature sets.
• Stays aligned with GTM plans for the product.
• Recommends trade-off decisions on product features/backlog items.
• Works with the Product Manager to ensure the correct prioritization process.
• Identifies issues that will keep the platform features from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements and works with Product Managers, internal teams and customer service to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues.
• Contributes & provides input into the quarterly planning for the product and roadmap.
• Supports and participates in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the product.
• Keeps updated and documents competitor activities.
• Builds cross peer/ departmental networks.
• Develops deep knowledge of Mastercard products and services.
• Shows constant interest to learn while gaining greater depth of knowledge within one's own subject matter area.
• Shows awareness of own strengths and areas of improvement and seek out additional feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Exhibits effective oral, written and non-verbal communications and delivers high quality work
About you:
• Experience of working within a data analytics environment
• Direct experience of working closely with engineering teams and delivering scalable solutions and product increments on agreed timelines.
• Comfortable explaining ideas/ features/ proposals/presentations to cross-functional and senior managers creating enthusiasm and momentum for initiatives.
• Uphold under pressure team processes that accelerate product development, delivery, drive innovation, lower costs, and improve quality.
• Direct experience of managing roadmaps along with balancing commercial and internal prioritization.
• Verbal and written communication is clear and concise and delivered in the right way to the specific audience needs.
