- The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
- Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines.
- Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care.
- Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
- Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
- Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
- Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment and professional development.
- Job Requirements
- 2+ Year of Experience - Required
- Ready to start ASAP - Required
- Completion of 1 travel assignment - Required
- Paragon EMR Experience - Highly Preferred
- ACLS - Preferred
- References NOT required.
- A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required.
- Michigan license verification is required for nurses.

- Additional Details
- McLaren Macomb has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population.
- Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately.
- Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor.
- This policy will begin on 2/28/2024.
