MedStar Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Operations Coordinator to oversee financial and administrative functions within an assigned department. This role supports budget processes, ensures accuracy of financial workflows, enhances operational efficiency, and serves as a key liaison across internal teams and external partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily administrative, financial, and personnel operations to ensure compliance with departmental policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Manage departmental financial workflows, including budget preparation support, report analysis, reconciliations, payroll oversight, purchase orders, and expenditure approvals.
Develop and maintain administrative procedures, reporting systems, and tracking tools to strengthen operational efficiency and support departmental goals.
Serve as a liaison with internal teams, leadership, external vendors, and committees; represent the department in meetings and community outreach efforts.
Analyze and manage operational and statistical data for planning and decision-making, and support residency-training program administrative functions as needed.
Associate's degree in a related field required,
ORThree (3) years of relevant MedStar Washington Hospital Center experience may be substituted for the degree.
Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative or financial operations experience required.
Commission as a Notary Public in the District of Columbia (required within 1 year of hire).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with data.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate effectively with staff and leadership.
This position has a hiring range of
USD $23.65 - USD $42.03 /Hr.
