About the Job

General Summary of Position
Plans, executes and finalizes innovation projects according to scope budget and schedule. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Defines project objectives and oversees quality control throughout the project life cycle.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing in accordance with technical disciplines of staff.
  • Coordinates and maintains quality assurance and monitors and manages all potential risks and technical issues throughout the project life cycle.
  • Coordinates technical developments and release scheduling, and resolves design and test problems. Directs integration of technical activities and products. Evaluates and approves design changes specifications and releases.
  • Creates and maintains all project plans. Ensures that all project documents are complete and stored appropriately.
  • Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority over technical developers for planning, organization, integration, execution, and closing of projects within the area of assigned responsibility.
  • Maintains communication within the project team and with other stakeholders involved in or affected by the project.
  • Organizes and leads team and other project meetings.
  • Reviews product design to ensure compliance with technical principles, organization standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
  • Tracks and reviews the status reports of each team member. Prepares interim updates and project close reports. Identifies opportunities and pathways for continuous process improvement.

Minimal Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in computer science, management information systems, or related field required

Experience

  • 5-7 years Work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of technical process development and execution required

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI PMP Certification is required within 180 Days
  • Lean Six Sigma within 180 Days required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level understanding of technology, Software Development Life Cycle, and Test Life Cycle as it relates to the software industry.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $95,014.00 - USD $182,124.00 /Yr.
