General Summary of Position
Responsible for the coordination of patient care across the continuum of Radiation Oncologic care for all patients. Educates/provides information supports patients and facilitates treatment plans. Functions as a patient advocate guides patients and families throughout cancer care and survivorship experience. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy policies procedures and standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor's degree Nursing required
- Master's degree Nursing preferred
- 3-4 years clinical nursing required
- Experience with surgical oncology inpatient/outpatient/community oncology services. preferred
- Must have clinical maturity and experience excellent interpersonal skills ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of health care providers. Effective oral and written communication skills. Position requires a high level of advocacy and problem-solving ability. Ability to multitask and organize advocacy and support for a large and varied group of cancer patients and their families. Knowledge of community resources is helpful.

USD $89,065.00 - USD $162,801.00 /Yr.
